Sunday post

Why is it that I always forget what I wanted to say in these weekly updates..? Sunday post #75

Sunday again, and it’s nice to have you here for my weekly update. It hasn’t been a bad week, actually – but it had a stressful end. And now I’m neck deep in insomnia. I also hauled more stuff that I planned to >_> I know I wanted to say so many things while it was still Friday and my mood was great, but two bright eyed nights later my brain’s as empty as can be. Impressive how that’ll happen to you! So I won’t be sharing a very interesting update, I guess? Oh yes, there was one thing! I got really fired up the other day about our typical #international business, so here’s a twitter thread of mine I wanted to share:

Oh yeah, and there was another thing! I just remembered I wanted to share a Humble Bundle for vampire book lovers! (By buying through this link you support the blog <3) Oh! Speaking of Humble Bundles, I just remembered what I wanted to say. There’s this AMAZING game I found through a Humble Bundle boyfriend got the other day. It’s like Find Waldo or something like that, only interactive and SO GOOD! I truly recommend this game, I have disappeared into this magical world for the last few days:

~ Last Week On The Blog ~

Last week was quite scifi based! First of all, one of my favorite series, The Murderbot Diaries, was wrapped up, so I took that chance to talk about the whole series altogether. Then there was also a review for Tomorrow Factory, a title I was lukewarm about, but still decided to review.

~ Coming Up Next Week~

Next week we have a discussion about anxiety with one recommendation for a book I truly, truly loved. Then, there will also be mini reviews!

worrier s guide to the end of the world  books for the wistful season

~ Little Book Haul ~

So basically. OKAY. Remember how I wasn’t hauling for a long, loooong time..? Well… I hauled 10 books in the first four days of October o.o that’s NOT counting the Doctor Who comics bundle, which had like 24 items. Nope, I’m refusing to count those. Nope nope nope.

Dear Martin The Book of the Unwinding (Witches of New Orleans #2) The Riddle of the Labyrinth: The Quest to Crack an Ancient Code Scoundrels Scoundrels: The Hunt for Hansclapp (Scoundrels #2)
The Truth About Archie and Pye The Casket of Time My Friend Sleep Cotton Candy Wishes: A Swirl Novel ist of 13

So how has your week been? And what are you reading? What did you haul?

As usual, I’m linking up with the Sunday post meme at Kimba’s book blog and Stacking The Shelves over at Tynga’s Reviews.

I’m Evelina and I try to blog about books that matter, with a bit of fun there too! Disability and equality will be topics you see a lot, but there’s also a lot of scifi, fantasy and… GIFs. I’m also the proud founder of #ARCsAnonymous.

ooo yay sci-fi books are the best. Also wondering how do you help the international bloogers get the arc they wanted. I want to try to but its basically impossible 🙁

Nice that you could help the new bloggers w/ internat’l ARC’s! And I definitely need to try that hidden objects game! That looks really fun.

I’ll have to check out your Murderbot post too. Love those.

This is why you’re one of the sweetest bloggers I’ve every met: you’re always ready to help new bloggers navigate through the dangerous waters of the publishing/requesting ARCs world.

Ten books isn’t much. I mean, I’m sure you fought with yourself not to haul more books, so ten books (plus the Doctor Who bundle) is a win, right? It could have been a lot more books… 😉

Wishes of a good week.

I love Where’s Waldo! That game sounds awesome. Hope next week is less stressful, and that you are able to get some sleep. Enjoy your new books!

uh oh… Ten books? Hehe, I’m sure you’ll get to them all. Eventually 😉
I know what you mean about forgetting about update stuff. I think I’ll start my draft post on Monday – that way I might remember everything I want to say 😉
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading!

You’re one of the friendliest and most helpful bloggers I know! I’m so glad we met, oh, we should definitely be chatting more often haha

I haven’t hauled anything recently! I’m very glad of that since I’ve been trying to go on a buying ban! Kindle deals are the death of me >< I'm currently reading an ARC for Empire of Sand by Tasha Suri 🙂

I keep thinking about the weekend post right from Monday. I get too anxious about it, and when I actually write the post I have nothing. Zilch. But that is me. I am sure you are better than me.

Wow how could a simple talk with them help to get the copies Evelina? because they had more traffic on their blogs? And I also forget what I want to say LOL

Sorry about the insomnia! That’s really hard. I have been waking up at 3-5am, but at least I sleep well until then.

My week was crazy – and I have yet to write my Sunday Post. I need to make more time for reading because I feel so behind with everything, but I still got The Truth About Archie and Pye after seeing it on your instagram.

PS: I love Humble Bundle!

That is some bundle you got this week. Right now I am reading Ready Player One and I have to say that I am really into it. I joined the book club at my university and they picked it so yes, I am glad I did it. =0)

I am getting ready to being the The Murderbot Diaries on audio and awaiting the arrival of the first book. I set my Sunday Post up on Monday mornings and add to it all week long. This way I don’t forget things or new arrivals. I then edit on Saturday. Although it seems writing triggers your memory. We will check out the game.

I’ve been curious about Dear Martin. I know what you mean about that empty head when you want to write something!

Enjoy your week, and thanks for sharing. Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

i often forget what I did all week so I now start a Sunday draft right posting and add to it all week. LOL I got my start at blogging from some awesome people on twitter and have gotten lots of support in the last almost 7 years and always glad to help if someone needs it. I know if I’m stuck on something I can come to you and many others for assistance! I have got to check out that game. It sounds like fun.

That is wonderful that you were able to help get arc’s to the international bloggers, it’s too bad that they didn’t send them to begin with. You’re not alone, when weekly updates come up, I can’t remember what I wanted to mention… I blame my problem on old age 😉 I hope you have a much better week ahead.

If you keep forgetting, do a thing like I do. Use some notes app like Google Keep or Anything wherr like you can just write your thoughts down whenever you get it. Later on when you are actually writing the post you can either refer to it or maybe just copy paste it like me.

Sorry your week had a stressful end! Glad you were able to remember some of the stuff you wanted to write about! I always have ideas about things I should write and I tell myself I should write them down so I won’t forget. But then I am lazy and don’t write them down and then completely forget I hope you have a good week!

Trust me you are not the only one who forgets what they want to write in the weekly reviews I hope that insomnia bout doesn’t last long and you are able to rest properly! That haul looks great, I have Dear Martin on my TBR from a long time. I am very amped about your post on anxiety

I always get a total mental blank when I go to write recap posts.Like … do I ever do anything? Surely not because I cannot remember a single thing lmao.ANYWAY. Dear Martin is AMAZING and I hope you enjoy it! (Well, “enjoy” is never the right word for hard-hitting stories, but you know what I mean.) I also need to go read up on your ARC post on how to get Edelweiss approvals because I just rake in the declines instantly and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong when my profile is done and my stats are good bleh.

Cannot wait to hear how you liked Dear Martin! I want to get to that book so badly. Especially now that THUG is hitting the theaters and I’m craving that kind of stories!

That’s your book haul for ONE week?! I am impressed and TERRIFIED. I need to get my hands on some horror really. ‘Tis the season. That said, I’m failing fabulously at finishing anything at the moment – I’m now reading SIX books at one.

It’s always hard to know what to say. If you don’t add to the post all week, it’s hard to remember everything too. I hope this week goes well for you! Anne – Books of My Heart

Oh my, that’s a lot of books this week! lol
I have the opposite of insomnia at the moment and all I want to do is sleep. It’s not good either way. I hope the sleep issues resolve quickly!
