Good morning everyone! How was your week? It seems I’ve got the weekly amnesia again, which must mean… I must’ve been working a lot again 😀 however, I know that my week involved:
- lots of good brownie
- lots of great reading
- my Golden Son arrival! Here’s the beauty:
Ah yes, I forgot to share with you that my long awaited Golden Son arrived, courtesy of my sister! I rarely get actual print books, much less hardbacks! So I was so obsessed with this matte-cover beauty when I just got it. Unfortunately, print books take up space, so I couldn’t carry it with me to where I’m staying for the next 3 or 4 days, so I’ll have to keep my patience till I return to #read it! #RedRising #GoldenSon #PierceBrown #books #bookish #bookmail #bookhaul #redrisingseries
~ Last Week On The Blog ~
SciFi Month is still full blast, and although last week I made an exception for the review of Sweet Bean Paste, a wonderful story of unlikely friendships, loneliness and illness, the rest of the posts were all SciFi Month material. You should read the review of The Diamond Age if you like detailed, society oriented and big picture scifi, aren’t afraid of long books and appreciate steampunk. And I don’t know if I need to explain much about Gemina? You’ve probably heard enough about that one already.
~ Coming Up Next Week~
Coming up next is the last full week of SciFi Month! And while I had a blast, I’m also looking forward to posting about other things again. Yay for variety! Next week though, I’m finally posting a review of one of my latest favorites that I’ll surely be rereading – An Unkindness Of Ghosts. And I’ll also be posting a discussion / list type post about the books you should read if you want space-realistic scifi, and also why I think they are realistic about the environment or experience of space, compared to other scifi.
~ Little Book Haul ~
I’ve totally let myself go last week… I’m sad to say that last month’s progress is a thing of the past! But then again, hey. Maybe I’m just making a safe cushion of books for myself, cozy in the knowledge that I will not run out. Eh? And just look at what an amazing color scheme they make. I would also like to mention that Behold The Dreamers might still be on sale on Amazon, and that I’m quite excited about Clara Voyant, which seems like a super cute middle grade book.
~ In The Bookish Community ~
Hannah @ So Obsessed With gives advice on how to find time for reading – her post is primarily about reading with a baby in the house, but I feel like it works for other kinds of being super busy as well!
Shannon @ It Starts At Midnight talks about blogging seasons and their tendencies. You’ll find yourself smiling and nodding your head to her findings!
And that’s all for this week! I hope to catch up with all of you this week cause I’ve been sort of away from the blogs last week.
